We’re pleased to confirm the release of i-lign 8.7. Hosted customers will be upgraded during the evening of Sunday 19 May, pending final testing.
As you know, i-lign 8.7 increases our Review and Risk functionality and improves our standard Financial Import. We also include a number of small improvements which have been requested by our customers.

Review changes
We’ve increased the ability to configure Reviews to meet your organisation’s needs. You can reduce or increase the number of Review Fields you have. For example you may decide that you want to add Stakeholders to your current Review Fields of Cost, Schedule, Scope, Benefits and People. We also give you the ability to add additional Review Levels should you choose to. For more information see this Tuning i-lign: Status Reviews tutorial
As well we rename Reviews to Status Reviews and give you the ability to add the Review Date and Author manually. Prior to this release, the Review Date and Author are added by the system, with no ability to edit.
Risk Matrix (Heat Map) changes
As a result of a request from one of our customers, we give you the option to swap the position of the Consequence and Likelihood Axes. For more information see this Tuning i-lign: Risks tutorial.
Standard Financial Import improvements
In 8.7 you can import financials for Programmes, Activities and Services as well as Projects. We also make some improvements to the import process, including adding and Undo Import function. If you currently use the i-lign standard import to upload financials then please get in contact as you’ll need to make some small changes to the format of the import file you use. Navigation design prototype
You may be aware that we’re planning some significant changes to i-lign navigation in the longer term. We intend to send you a Navigation prototype in the next few months. This will give you an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the changes we’re considering and provide us with your feedback.
